Rooted in Nature beach scene

Hey Guys!

I love my Job!  I get to make beautiful handmade cards AND show others how to do it! After my classes everyone is so happy with what they have made!

I got this idea from Cindy Elam, I found it on Pinterest and changed up a little, here is her card:

I LOVE layers, I wanted to add to this beautiful card.  Here is what I came up with:

Here are the specifics for this card:

PROJECT 3: Watercolor trees

Soft Suede 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Early Espresso 3 1/8″ x 4 1/8″
Watercolor paper 3″ x 4″
Very Vanilla 5 1/4″ x 4″, 2″ x 4 3/4″
Inks
Crushed Curry
Soft Suede
Early Espresso
Mossy Meadow

I spritzed the stamp after inking it then stamped it on Watercolor paper. It really has a great effect.  I love how the trees look different each and every time!  I also love to use the Aqua Painter to make a background.  I taped off a straight line then using the Aqua Painter to make the water.

Christmas card #7 Spirited Snowmen

Reverse Eclipse Card

Hey Guys!

Today I am showing you a simple card that can be used for any celebratory occasion!  I used the Stamparatus from Stampin’ Up! to have the image ” celebrate” repeat.  You just line up the stamp on the cardstock at the top, ink the stamp, close the Stamparatus, stamp and then move the Stamparatus down to the next slot, and the Stamp is positioned perfectly all down the cardstock.  You can watch a video here to see what exactly the Stamparatus is!

But to see the process I did, watch this video!   The Stamparatus will be available when the new catalog comes out!  Contact me if you need a new Catalog!!

Here is a pic of my card:

I am very proud of this simple card!  If you know me, or watch my Youtube Channel you kind of know that I love cards that are a little more detailed and use a technique of some kind.  So, when I make a card that is easy to do, but still lets me have fun and do a technique, I am in HEAVEN!

The measurements for this card are:

Pool Party: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, plus scraps for the ‘YOU’
Basic Black: 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ (x2 for the inside too), 3 1/4″ x 2  for the label
Whisper White: 3 3/4″ x 5″ (x2 for the inside too), 2 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ for the label with the ‘YOU’ cut out.

For the Black label under the white label I cut it down on both top and bottom so it lines up with the white on top and bottom.  I used the Lots of Labels Dies 4th and 5th from the outside.

Below, you will see all the supplies I used for this card.  If you click on any image you will be taken to my OnLine Store!  If you purchase from me, I will send you one of my handmade cards!

Here is the card that I show how to make it!

Here are some of the cards that I show at the end that you might want to see closer!

I made this one after looking at this photo i found online:

Here’s another card I made:

I saw a card like this online, but couldn’t find it again.  I pretty much copied it!  I did change a little in the sky, but the rest I kept.  If you happen to see this card please let me know so I can give credit.  UPDATE: Thank you for everyone that mentioned where I saw this, Kim Jolley at stampinartfully.blogspot.com is the one that I got the idea from.  Thank you Kim!!

This is also from the same person, this is where I learned HOW to make the Scenes!  Again, if you see or know who made the original, please let me know!  I did add some Glitter & Clear Epoxy Dots to make the rain look more real!

Hope you like this post.  Check back in for my other posts!

Everything listed for my main picture at the top is listed below.  Click on any picture to be taken to my OnLine store!

Make a Pop Up Card easy by Eyeballing it!

Hey Guys!

I am not much of a Measurer and if it takes me too long to ‘figure it out’ I tend to not want to do it!  That doesn’t mean that I WON’T do it, just that I put it off until I have plenty of time!  I keep seeing these Pop-Up Cards and I wanted to figure out an easy way to make one, that I could teach and show on a video…….
I figured out a quick and easy way to make a Pop-Up card that takes minimal measuring and hardly ANY stress!  Check out my video!

Here is the front of the card:

I absolutely LOVE this Stampin’ Up! set: Waterfront!  It really makes you feel like an artist, and you can make the scenery any way you can imagine!!  I changed the scenery inside, popped up some trees and I am thrilled with the result!

The trees fold down when the card is closed and Stand up when open!  On my video you can see just how easy this card is!

Here is the view from above:

I hope you like this card as much as I do!  The supplies are listed below, just click on any picture to be taken to my OnLine Store!

High Tide meets Pattern Party Decorative Mask

Last time I posted I gave a little teaser and told you that I made a card  using the High Tide stamp set with the Pattern Party Decorative Mask……..Here is the card I made!

When I saw the Medallion in the mask, I thought immediately that it could be a ‘sun’…….is that weird that my mind went there?  I hope not!!  I sponged it with Crushed Curry and then went over it with Rose Red, to give it that HOT look.  🙂  High Tide is one of my favorite Stamp sets STILL!  I am not sure if or WHEN it will stop being my favorite, I guess time will tell on what Stampin’ Up! brings out next. This company always pleasantly surprises me!

For the sky and water I used Soft Sky as the base, the waves are done in Pool Party.  The lighthouse is in Dapper Denim, with the first image stamped off…….this is the image that I get so tickled with when I am done stamping…….it is just so intricate and I can’t get over that I stamped it!  Silly, I know!  I’m the one who sits in her Stamp Room by MYSELF and says how great something looks……my kids used to shake their heads and comment that I’m crazy!  Bwaahahahaha  I just get so tickled that I can make beautiful things!  Never in my life was I even a LITTLE bit creative, so when I discovered SU!, I was astonished that I could do things that would make others (including me!) think it was pretty!  My sister always had the creative gene, and after 17 years I am still tickled.  AND I get paid to do it!  What’s better than that!?

The sentiment (Love) is from Lovely Friends, BUT the outside ring is from Label Me Pretty!  I used a marker to color the outside ring then stamped the LOVE from Lovely Label.  I was so happy when I saw that it fit perfectly inside that ring.

Here are the dimensions for this card:

*****
Dapper Denim: 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ scored t 4 1/4″
Gold Foil: 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
Whisper White: 5″ x 3 3/4″
*****

Below are pictures of all the product I used for this card, just click on any image to be taken to my OnLine Store!  If you purchase from me, I will send you a handmade card, be sure and send me your address!

How many NEW stamp sets can I get on a card? Plus Blog Candy!

I was perusing Pinterest seeing what I could make, and I found a Z fold card by Karen Watts and loved her scene!  Of course I had to start making my own!  And being me, I HAD to add to what I saw on her card AND put in my NEW stamp sets that I just got from the NEW catalog by Stampin’ Up!

I wanted to use the Bike Ride,  have the bike going along the beach, and since I had a beach I HAD (again) to use High Tide for the water!  High Tide is the greatest stamp set for making water!  And since I was using the water I also used the grass, birds on the beach and the birds that are flying!  Birds!!  For those that know me everytime I use the word/stamp birds, I think of Bambi and say it like Flower said it……..BIRD!  🙂

I also wanted to pull in Seasonal Layers with their Beach Chair!  That is such a fun set!  Ok, I admit it…….Stampin’ Up! has waaaaaaay too many cute sets!  They are fun to play with and BOY they are great for making a story!

Here is my card closed:

Cute, right?!!

Here is the card partially open:

There’s the chair!  And now open all the way:

I LOVE how it came out, don’t you!?  Not sure what sentiment to put on, or if it needs one……what do you think?  Sometimes when I send out my greeting cards, I don’t put a greeting on it, since I want to say what I want to say and let the card speak for itself!  Do you ever do that?

The Deets:

Cardstock
Bermuda Bay:  4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 8 1/4″, 1 1/2″ x 11, scored in the same places (when you put on card, the folds are opposite)
Whisper White: 5 1/4″ x 4″, 2 1/2″ x 4 (x’s 2), 5 1/4″ x 1 1/4″, 2 1/2″ x 1 1/4″ (xs 2) and scraps for stamping and chair.
I used a post it for the sun, JUST be sure and cut the circle in HALF before you sponge sun!  LOL  For some reason my mind couldn’t fathom that when I stamped the ocean that it would cover the circle….kind of hard when I didn’t take off the circle when I stamped the ocean OVER the circle!  Let me tell you, for some reason (though I’ve done it before) it didn’t dawn on me to cut the circle in half since I was ONLY using half of it to mask the sun.  Sheesh!!  I’m sure I am the ONLY one that happens to!

Now, on to my Blog Candy!!

You can get in on the drawing by posting comments here on this blog (any post! or multiple posts!) or on my Facebook page and I will put your name down each and every time you comment!  But be aware…..there are some that follow me that take that comment VERY seriously!  I’ve had her comment on each and every post that I make and she also comments on my Facebook page, Twitter AND my Instagram!  She’s one serious girl!  YOU know who you are, and I appreciate you very much!  🙂

The moral of the story is if you REALLY want to win my Blog Candy comment on everything!  I put the names into a Name Generator so I have NO say on who wins!

It’s Washi Tape!!  These are from (lf – rt), Affectionately Yours and Botanical Gardens!!  Yes, these can be yours!  I am running this blog candy starting yesterday (since I said I would!) until July 4th!  I think that is a great day to be giving something away for FREE!  Celebrating our Freedom in a way!

Good Luck!
