Cutest kid card EVER!

Hey Guys!

Are kid cards hard for you to make? I am challenged with kid and masculine cards……not sure why, Stampin’ Up! makes it easy, I guess it’s because I am not drawn to kid stamps. But, the Wiggle Worm bundle really called to me! They are just so stinkin’ cute! Don’t you think?

With this in mind, looking at the stamp set and dies, the Bugs are super cute, add in the grass and mushrooms and this card practically made itself! Don’t you love the clouds too?! There is ONE problem that I have with this card, the bare space towards the bottom right is bugging me! Ha! Pun not intended! Would you add something more? For the inside I used the little flying bugs, and thought of adding one to that space, but am afraid that I will over do it.

Speaking of the inside here it is!

For the class on the 3rd Wednesday (of every month at 1:00) at our local Senior Enrichment Center, the subject is ‘kids’, so I decided to do this one! Would you add one of the little bugs to the front? Or are you like me and say ‘less is more’ and let it shine on it’s own? Please let me know what you think!

As always, here are the specifics for this card:

Stamps:
Wiggle Worm

Inks:
Memento Black
Versamark
Merry Merlot
Blends: Highland Heather combo, Balmy Blue Lt

Paper:
Highland Heather 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Merry Merlot 5 1/4″ x 4″ scraps for mushrooms
Balmy Blue 5″ x 3 3/4″
Whisper White 5″ x 3 3/4″, scraps for sentiment
Garden Green scraps for grass

Misc:
Chalk Marker
White Embossing Powder
Heat tool
Wink of Stella
Dimensionals

So, what do you think? Do you agree with me? That these bugs are just too cute!? My favorite part is the Mushrooms! They just make me smile.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Come back later in week to see what ELSE I am making in the Kid class! Keep in mind that I’m not always talking about ‘little’ kids! My Granddaughter will LOVE the one I’ll show you later! Am I a stinker trying to entice you to come back?! 🙂

Here’s a GREAT Masculine card!

Hey Guys!

I know that you must think that I have backslid from my promise that I would continue posting. Two weeks ago, I went to Disney World with my family and near the end of our trip, I got sick. 🙁 Ends up, that my husband and Son got the flu, thankfully I ‘think’ I just got a cold. I’ve been trying to catch up on making cards so I can show them to you!

Here is the first card I made when I came back……. I was thinking that I wanted to play with the NEW stamp set from Stampin’ Up! called By the Dock…..but I also thought that the dimensions of the set would work great with the set Best Catch. And it did! It totally looks like they are from the same set! Ya think?

Don’t you think the little fish peaking out at the fisherman is so cute?! I had to chuckle when I decided to put him in. Water scenes are one of my favorite things to stamp. Not sure if it’s because I was brought up fishing with my dad, or any kind of water just makes me calm and happy.

Here are the specifics for this card:

Stamps:
By the Dock
A Good Man (for the sentiment)
Best Catch

Inks:
Night of Navy
Pacific Point
Early Espresso (all stamps were inked with this ink)
Blends: Dark/Light Crumb Cake, Ivory, Balmy Blue for rings around man/fish
White Gel pen

Paper:
Night of Navy 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Whisper White 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
Seaside Spray 5″ x 3 3/4″, scrap for sentiment

Misc:
Classic Label punch
1″ circle punch (for moon)
Sponges
Post-It Removable Labeling Tape (for making horizon and moon)
Mini Dimensionals
Wink of Stella

All of the SU! supplies will be in picture form below, click on any to be taken to my OnLine Store! For any purchase you make I will send you a handmade card AND a file full of 35+ tutorials! My Favorite ‘Holiday’ Halloween!

Hey Guys!

I say I love Halloween, but what do I love about it?  I love making scrapbook pages!  That’s it!  Well, I love the candy too.  heehee

Instead of making a page (I’ll do that too, I’m sure), I decided to make a card.  This was so much fun!!  If you want to watch me make it, go here to see my video!

I’m so happy that SU! has Blends (Alcohol Markers) in black now!  It sure makes coloring things easier.   This little witch is so cute, of course she is a good one!  Her kitty is too cute, love the expression.

I wanted to have a card the opens a little differently.  I die cut the sentiment tags using a die from Still Night stamp set.  The one in Gorgeous Grape is the size of the die.  I put the die through twice for the Granny Apple Green and Whisper White, to make it smaller. If you put the die over the long one, line it up so the middle is along the lines of the die, you can cut it as small as you want.  It gives it a very nice edge.  Underneath the Sentiment attaching to the other side is a small piece of Dual Lock.  It works like Velcro, but MUCH better for paper since it won’t pull too hard, it snaps into place.  Check out my video to see how it works!

The inside is super clean:

Don’t these colors go well together?  I hope you like my Halloween card!  I had a blast making it!

It’s a Sloth!!

Hey Guys,

My family has a very funny story about Sloths.  Since this time I have always had a special place in my heart for Sloths.  If you want to hear the story, just send me a msg and I will tell you.  I don’t want to bore everyone!  HA!

I was inspired by a card on Pinterest by Melissa Davies, you can see the card here.  I changed up SOME of the card, but the general idea was hers!  Thanks Melissa!

As soon as I saw the Designer Paper Animal Expedition I HAD to get it only because of this stinkin’ cute Sloth!  I wish it was a stamp, but he’s pretty easy to cut out, so I’ll take what I can get!

I used the Leaf ribbon because not only does it look awesome, but it’s so easy to adhere to the back!!

Darling Baby Card! Kylie’s International Blog hop!

Once again I am TRYING to be in the top ten for Kylie’s International Blog Hop, will you help me??  I came close last time, but would really like to get there this time!   Can you tell that the dog is fluffy and two colors!?  Read on to see how it was done!

Please vote for me by going to Kylie’s blog hop page!  To vote, you will click on the heart in the right corner of the pictures, preferably mine!!  🙂

The theme this month is Baby.  My card isn’t traditional ‘baby’ but I think it would make a GREAT Birthday card for any baby, OR on the inside it could say that you are expecting!!  That you are HAVING a baby!!

Here’s my card:

Isn’t it cute!!??  Same as last month, I had a totally different card planned, but I didn’t think it mustered!  I came home from a stamp class today and sat right down and made this one!  I love how the dog has such puffy fur!  Want to know how I did that?

That’s Vellum that I stamped the dog on, using Soft Suede (then embossed with clear), I then turned it over onto one of our stamp mats, and using the stylus from the Score Board I press in circular motions (gently at first!!) on the places for the white fur, it makes the Vellum raise up and turn white!!  Cool Right!!?? I then cut ANOTHER dog out of Soft Suede (using the thinlit of course!) and popped up the Vellum, putting the mini dimensionals (YUM!) under the pom pom balls on his feet and front!!  You can’t see them, can you!?  That’s because the Vellum is so white that you can place them behind and it disappears!  I LOVE this technique!

Can you see the clouds in the sky?!  Those are made with Stampin’ Up!’s Embossing Paste and the masks!

The little girl AND the dog are stamped, but the fox is cut out of the Designer Series Paper!  LOVE, love, love this suite!

Here’s a close up of the puffy:

The ‘fixin’s’ for this card are listed below, click on any picture and you will be taken to my Online Store!  When you order from me, you will receive a handmade card, plus a little thank you gift!  Please use the Hostess code: C62FFAR3

I love stamping, and if you live near me I would love for you to come stamp with me!  I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I have!

I also have blog candy!!

You can get in on the drawing by posting comments here on this blog (any post! or multiple posts!) or on my Facebook page and I will put your name down each and every time you comment!  But be aware…..there are some that follow me that take that comment VERY seriously!  I’ve had her comment on each and every post that I make and she also comments on my Facebook page, Twitter AND my Instagram!  She’s one serious girl!  YOU know who you are, and I appreciate you very much!  🙂

The moral of the story is if you REALLY want to win my Blog Candy comment on everything!  I put the names into a Name Generator so I have NO say on who wins!
