Hey Guys, I’ve got a WOW Fancy Fold for you! This fold was brand new to me, so I HAD to try it! The idea came from Mindy Clove when we swapped in Houston. Of course, I changed it up somewhat. For the DSP I used Unbounded Beauty, and the stamp set was Cutest Cows. The Dies are from Unbounded Love. These Dies are so awesome! As you can see, these were really fun to make! Of course book stores are my favorite. Every night I read for at LEAST 2 hours. Because I love to read, book stores make me calm and happy. However, since I got Carpal Tunnel I am not able to buy actual books anymore. Therefore I get all my books on Kindle. I prop my book up and just have to turn pages! Luckily I am able to get most of my books from the library. So easy to download! For the first card I love the look of the Granny Apple Green behind the store, it really makes the store pop, don’t you think?! As for the 2nd card, I love that it isn’t a full card like you would normally see. This fold really adds to this fun card!

Hey Guys, today I am offering Three very different WOW cards!! If you missed it, click here to see it! For those who have been at a class with me, you might know the Sloth story. Let me tell those of you who haven’t been live with me….Both my sisters with their spouses and Howie and I played a game called The Newlywed Game years ago. All of us had been married a while and thought this would be fun. A question came up “What animal would your Mother in Law be?” The guys had to answer, and my sisters and I thought this should be interesting! My oldest sisters’ hubby answered an Owl, since she is so smart. The youngest sisters’ hubby answered A Pug (what!??), so it was Howie’s turn. Indeed, my husband answered a Sloth, because she is so slow. Yikes!!
I got my sense of Humor from my Mom
Now my mom had survived lung cancer and had half a lung removed. So her health wasn’t the best. Every time the family would meet up in CA all the ladies would go to a Tea Room. We’re sitting at the table and I thought I would tell my mom all about the answers her Son-in-Laws said. Immediately she comes up with a plan, to get revenge.
When we got back to the house where everyone was, she would exclaim that she wasn’t feeling well and lay down on the couch. So, of course we didn’t know the rest of her plan but we went with it. Once she sighs and lays down on the couch all the guys come into the room to be sure she is ok. She says “I’m feeling very…….’slothlike'”. My husband Howie’s face goes white, and he is in shock with his mouth wide open. Then of course he him haws around and says it’s because you are so smart that I said that! Sloths are slow, and they have to be smart to survive! 🙂 Ever since that time my family has loved Sloths! Why she picked on the Sloth and not the Pug, tells me she knew Howie would get a kick out of it!

Now for the Technique
As seen above I shared the Fancy fold first, even though it’s not first on my video. Of course, I HAD to share the story of why Sloth’s are special to me. Three very different WOW cards! I’ve shown you the Fancy fold, now here is the technique! Basically I am a sucker for techniques and this is one of my favorites! Since I have never seen the Northern Lights, I have to make a card with one!
As can be seen on the inside, below….I used ANOTHER technique to make a bookmark! Stampin’ Up! has a new Tool for our Take your Pick tool, and it’s a rotary perforated tool that lets me make a bookmark that can be torn out by the recipient!! Cool, right?!!
In this case, if you look closely you can see where the bookmark will tear off! Obviously you will want to send this to someone who enjoys reading!!

So, now we are on to the Cute one!! I love Giraffe, they are my favorite wild animal and I have a few Giraffe items around my house. Chiefly, I have always loved them, but I visited my Daughter in MN and got to hand feed one! Of course that would sell anyone on why these animals are so special!

Hey Guys!, today I have Techniques & Fancy Folds along with Solving problems! Have you ever tried to color something you already Embossed with Powders? For some reason the Blends don’t work with them. Of course, I still want to use my embossing powders and use Blends, so with my Stamparatus I have brought the two together perfectly! You can watch my video where I walk you through the steps.
Techniques, do you like them?
You may remember that I used to have a channel where every Tuesday I would do Two techniques. I called it Twosday’s Techniques and I posted on Vimeo (you can still find them there!). Well, I love techniques because using them gives more life to your stamping supplies. Anything that lets me come up with cool cards/scrapbook pages is in my wheel house. For todays video I am showing how to use two products that are like oil and water, but teaching you how to use them together.
Fancy Folds yay or nay?
I would love to know if you like Fancy Folds? Obviously I like them, but I don’t want to do them as often if YOU don’t! Sometimes I get bored with the cards folded the regular way, there is only so many ways you can change it up. After all there is landscape and portrait, that’s pretty much it! Of course the challenge is whether it fits in our envelopes, If I find a fancy fold that won’t fit in our envelopes, I tend to stear clear. What do you think? I’d love to know what you like.

Sorry I was gone for a month
Some of you already know this but I went to DisneyWorld with my family last month! We spent 8 days with all my grandkids and all three of my daughters with 2 of their significant others. Every day was full of waking up before dawn, opening the park (rope drop anyone!?) and then trying to get all our rides that we ‘had to’ ride before it got too busy. Can I tell you that the new Guardians of the Galaxy ride is so awesome! I have a bad neck due to my accident when I broke my C2 vertebrae, so most roller coasters I worry will exacerbate my condition, but the Guardians ride was so smooth and fun! If they let us I’m sure we would have got right back in line!
As if that wasn’t enough, we also spent 4 days at Universal Studios, also opening the park! Let’s just say we left our ‘vacation’ more tired than we started! 🙂 All of us have decided that NEXT time, Universal will only be 1-2 days and being a Disney Family we still HAVE to spend a day at each park. BUT we will add in rest days so we can recoup and enjoy the resort.
Anyone here a Disney Fan? I moved to CA in 1969, grew up going to Disney. Then we moved all around the states and once we moved to NC we figured we could still be a Disney Family, but this time it would be Disney World. I LOVE Disney and feel my happiest when I am there, you?
