Want some Peace?!

Hey Guys!

Do you want some peace?  This card makes me peaceful just by looking at it!  I hope you agree!

I used the Winter Woods stamp set from the Holiday Catalog from Stampin’ Up!  Guess what!?  It is one of the stamps that is NOT retiring!  I am so happy!  This stamp set is sooooo pretty and I just love it, bet you couldn’t tell, right?

I used the Woodland Folder to get the background.  This is about as ‘simple’ as  I can get…….you would think that making cards with more details would be harder, but NO, I have problems making cards that have less stamps, less layers, less embellishments……ok I have problems with LESS!  LOL  I try really hard to make quick and simple one layer cards and I just can’t do it!  Who’s with me!?

Chicken Wire – Retiring soon, don’t wait!

Hey Guys!

Today’s card was a really fun one to make.  The sad news is that the Chicken Wire (which I LOVE) is retiring!  Say it ain’t so!

I decided to play with it before it was gone…..    Here is the card I made for you today!:

I know that this picture looks like I used Tempting Turquoise, but the colors are all wrong, this was made using Bermuda Bay.  Bermuda Bay is one of my very favorite colors!  Not sure why my camera decided not to show the true color.

I used the Stamp set from SU! called Sitting Pretty.  This stamp set is so much fun to stamp with, all the stamps work together so you don’t ‘color’ anything, you stamp it.  Using the Stamparatus makes it even better!

Here are the specifics for this card:

Stamp Sets Pg #
Sitting Pretty
Paper
Bermuda Bay 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Soft Sea Foam 4 1/4″ x 3 3/8″
Black 3 1/8″ x 4 1/8″
White 5 1/4″ x 4″, 3 7/8″ x 3″
Inks
Memento Black
Soft Sea Foam
Bermuda Bay
Versamark
Accessories
Chicken Wire Elements
Galvanized Buttons
Bermuda Bay Striped Ribbon
Stamparatus
Silver Embossing powder/embossing buddy/heat tool

The Galvanized Buttons are no longer available sad to say.  So make sure if you want/need the chicken wire, get your order in now!!

If you are living in the US and are in need of a SU! Demo, look no further!  I would love to be yours!  Below are all the items used for this card, if you click on any of them you will be taken to my OnLine Store!

Sympathy card using Bokeh stamp

Hey Guys!

I love the Bokeh stamp from Stampin’ Up!  When I stamp with it, just looking at it makes me smile.  It is very subtle and makes me relax for some reason.  For this card I inked the image using So Saffron on one side and Soft Sea Foam on the other, then I huffed on it and stamped it in the middle of a piece of Very Vanilla.  I then stamped ‘With Sympathy’ from Flourishing Phrases in Black in the middle.

I will be teaching this in a class at our Local Senior Center in Kernersville on Wednesday.  The Gold Foil paper surrounding the Very Vanilla sets off not only the stamp but the black background.

Hope you like this card!!  All the supplies used for this card are listed below, click on any picture to be taken to my OnLine Store! I would love if you would choose me as your Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator if you live in the US!

Christmas Card #15 Black and White Farmhouse Christmas

Hey Guys!

I love when I design a card and it turns out great!  I get so worried when I am designing on my own, I ‘think’ it turns out good, but have to ask everyone I know what they think, just to be sure!

Here is the card:

I love how this looks like a photo with a tree on the side. I used the Colorful Seasons Die to get the scalloped edge, I cut both the white and the Silver Glimmer to go behind it.  In person, this is really pretty and shiny!  Basic Gray is on the inside to offset the Silver, it is a great look!  I love how stamping the house and tree in the ‘picture’ is an easy way to use this stamp set, and just cut out the tree and your card is just about ready!

Here are the specifics for this card:

Supplies:

Stamp set: Farmhouse Christmas, Star of Light, Winter Woods
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White 4” x 11”, Whisper White 3 ½” x 3 ¾”, 3” x 3 ½”, 3 ¼” x 3” (for black and white house),
Silver Glimmer 3 3/8” x 3 3/16”, 4” x1 ½”, Basic Gray 4” x 5 3/8”
Inks: Basic Gray, Shaded Spruce, Memento Black
Misc: Big Shot, Seasonal Layers thinlits, Dimensionals, Metallic Pearls, sponges, Wink of Stella

This is one of my favorites that I designed! I hope you like it too!!

Below are pictures of the supplies used for this card, click on any picture and you will be taken to my OnLine Store! I would love to be your Demonstrator if you live in the US.

It’s Christmas Card Time! Card #1

I’ve been getting ready for my Christmas card class that’s next month!  I plan on doing 3 Classes with 6 cards each class.  That is A LOT of planning! Each person will make 3 of each of the 5 cards and 1 special card!  That’s 16 cards that everyone makes at each class!

The New Holiday Catalog is here from Stampin’ Up! and I’ve been having fun using all my new goodies!  Are you ready to start seeing the 1st of my 6 cards?!

Here is card #1:

This was VERY fun to make! I used the New stamp set His Light on top of the Bokeh Stamp set, but this isn’t the bokeh it is the star one in the same stamp set.   I stamped the Bokeh ‘star’ stamp in Night of Navy, then stamped ‘Rejoice’ in Memento Black.  This is SUCH a pretty card in person!  Here is the inside:

I love that I can make a card that really tells the true meaning of Christmas!

Here are the Particulars:

Rooted in Nature Masculine card

Hey Guys!

I don’t know about you, but I LOVE checkered paper!  Well, the great news is that Stampin’ Up! has come out with an awesome stamp that lets you have a checkered pattern on any cardstock in any color!

I used Soft Suede cardstock and stamped the Buffalo Check in Black.  It came out so nice!!  I stamped the Big Oak tree from Rooted in Nature and die cut it (thank God, no more fussy cutting!), put it on a square piece of Black and it really popped.  Once I put it on the Checkered pattern I was in love!  I used the Black 3/8″ Glittered Organdy Ribbon from the NEW 2018 Holiday Catalog.  It was the perfect touch!  Instead of doing what I normally do, I placed the ribbon over the square, because it looked great with the tree ‘sitting’ on it!  I hope you like it!

I’m teaching a class on the 10th at our local Senior Center, this will be one of the cards we will be making!

I have so much fun rubber stamping.  When I was a young adult my sister started painting on porcelain making dolls and pottery.  I was so impressed with her artistic ability.  I thought well God gave her a gift, I am NOT artistic!  Then I started stamping, at first I copied everything, then slowly started changing things up.  I am so happy to tell you, I AM artistic!  WOOHOO! I joined Stampin’ Up! over 15 years ago, and can’t see my life NOT doing this.  If you would like to join my team, I would love to help you be artistic too!
