Christmas in July Card # 3

Hey Guys,

My class went really well for my Christmas in July!  We made 5 designs where we made 3 of each design, and then made one of another, so my guests got to make 16 Christmas cards!  We’ll be having  2 – 3 more of these classes but we will use different stamp sets!  I love these classes and it also gets all my cards ready for Christmas!  I don’t have to worry if I already sent a certain card to a family member/loved one because I ALWAYS make new Cards!

Here is the front of this one:

and the inside:

This was a fun one to make!  The white snowflakes are stamped onto the Night of Navy using Versamark and white embossing powder.  What a great way to make your own Designer Paper!

I colored my Rhinetones with my Night of Navy dark Blend!  I also added Wink of Stella underneath the trees.

Hope you like it!

Technique Tuesday Triple Flap Fold Christmas Card

I love when a project comes together! Click here for a video to see the process It took to make this beauty!  The great thing about the video is that I tell you the dimensions and supplies!

I was spending time on YouTube the other day and found this great idea from Dawn, which you can see here.  I loved the idea, but didn’t have her Halloween stamps, even though I LOVE Halloween (need to have new ideas every year for scrapbooking!).  So, I DID have the Christmas stamps from Stampin’ Up! called Father Christmas (I used EVERY stamp!, WooHoo) and Nature Sings.  These Stamp sets are PERFECT for my idea!

When do you use every stamp from a stamp set on ONE project?  I did for this one!  Not sure WHY I am proud of this, but I am.  😉

Here is the project closed:

Partially open:

And now all the way open!:

Isn’t this pretty!?  What I love is other than the front where I colored, there isn’t anything else that needs that much attention!  I DID sponge all the Vanilla pieces but I pretty much sponge everything so this wasn’t a big deal to me.

When I showed this around, I got so many Ooooooh’s and Aaaaaaaah’s!  LOVE when that happens!  Now the question: Who do I send this to?

The next question is what will be my technique for NEXT Tuesday?! Any suggestions? I have a great idea, not sure if I will go with that idea or one YOU give me!

You can click on any of the supplies listed below to be taken to my OnLine Store!

I hope you like this technique, I would love to see a ‘story’ you would like to create using this Fancy Fold!

Until next time!

Christmas in July Card #4! Plus blog candy

The card for today is one of my FAVORITES!  At least so far!  This is card #4 for my Christmas in July Class!  We will be making 16 cards at one time, or at least at one class!  3 cards each of 5 designs!

Here are the others that I have done up to now:

I absolutely fell in love with the ribbon for this card when I first saw it in the Catalog!  BUT, in person it was even prettier!!  Of course I had to use it as soon as I got it!

Here is the front and back of this card:

Super simple, but still sooooooo pretty!  Two ink colors, one stamp set!  The only time consuming part is attaching the sequins to the top of the card…….doesn’t have to be put on if you are in a hurry!

Dimensions:

**********
Card Stock:
Very Vanilla: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″, 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ front with trees
Tranquil Tide: 5 1/4″ x 4″, 3 1/2″ x 1 3/4″ under the deer with ribbon
Chocolate Chip: 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8′

Just stamp the trees and Deer in Chocolate Chip, and the sentiment in  Tranquil Tide for the front.  On the inside I used Chocolate Chip, that’s it!

Sometimes simple is very elegant, I hope you think so too!

Christmas in July!!

Here is the start of my Christmas cards that I will be making this year!  If you receive cards from me and want to be surprised, don’t go any further!!  LOL

I am doing a class where we will make 3 each of FIVE Christmas cards, and if you prepay you get to make an extra Bonus card!  I’m hoping to get a headstart on my Christmas cards this year, how about you?!

I am going to show you today ONE of my 6 cards so far…….make sure you check back in so you can see the others!

Here is the first one:

I love cards that are weathered and antiquey……..I know that is NOT a word, but that’s the only one that came to mind!  LOL

I stamped the Music Notes on the Vanilla piece with Sahara Sand, but stamped off first so it wasn’t so dark.  I then tore the cardstock in carefully planned areas, and made it look old.  LOVE doing this, don’t you?  This card was really simple except that the ageing did tak a little time, but not as much as you would think.  I stamped the Reindeer? using Early Espresso ink, didn’t color him in at all, and I think he looks great!  I wanted some of my cards to be a little simpler since I will be making these in bulk.  I cut him out using the Stitched Framelits and then cut a mat using the Circle framelits using the scallop, cutting this out with Cherry Cobbler.  I used my Early Espresso marker to make the stitched edge look stitched!

For the Banner I used the Bunch of Banners thinlits.  Did you know that this banner thinlit cuts out BOTH the sentiment AND the border?  I hadn’t used this one yet, and was surprised that it did that, so I was able to frame the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler!

I added Linen Thread behind the Reindeer, popped up the sentiment with Dimensionals and I was done!   Easy Peasy!

Here is what the inside looks like:

Isn’t it pretty?

Below is a pictorial list of what I used to make this card, click on any picture and you will be taken to my OnLine Store!  If you purchase anything from me online I will send you a handmade card!

Want some Blog Candy?  I have taken a few days off since giving away my last one, so I guess it’s time!!

I LOVE embossing folders and I also love Bakers Twine!  This Bakers Twine is Gray, my FAVORITE color!  Is Gray a color?

You can get this mailed directly to you if you win the drawing that I will be having in a few weeks on July 29th.  How can you win this?  Easy!  Just leave me comments here on my blog, OR on any of my Social Media places……..Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.  ALL comments count, no matter which posts you comment on!  You can spend a good amount of time visiting my older posts and commenting and they count!!  Not only will you be getting good ideas for you projects, but you will be put in my drawing each and every time you comment!  Pretty easy wouldn’t you say?

I’m off, dinner is almost ready!!  I’m very lucky, I have a husband who likes to cook and I don’t have to!!  WooHoo!

Subscribe to my posts so you won’t miss the rest of this month’s Christmas cards!!
