Donkey Fancy Fold

Hey Guys!

Yesterday I posted a Live YouTube video doing a Fancy Fold using the Darling Donkey stamp set! You can get this set FREE with a $50 purchase! Love, Love, Love this set!! I have been using it a lot ’cause I love it so much! If you missed my last Live you can catch it here! Also, I did a Blog post and that can be found here!

Free Donkey set Fancy Fold!

Of course I did a SECOND card for my Mini Class! And I also used the Free Donkey set!

Free Donkey stamp set on Memories & More gift card

First off, I wanted to tell you that I also used, along with the Donkey, the dies from the Bundle Ride the Range. I will be using this bundle for my next YouTube Live on Thursday January 14th! I hope you can join me. Also, I used some Free Designer Series Paper that comes in the Sale-a-Bration catalog as a bundle itself called Berry Blessings Stamp set + Berry Delightful Stamp set.

Secondly, as usual I am providing all the details needed to make BOTH projects:

  • Stamp sets:
  • Darling Donkeys
  • Many Messages
  • Inks:
  • Memento Black
  • Garden Green
  • Granny Apple Green
  • Blends:
  • Soft Suede
  • Smoky Slate
  • Color Lifter
  • Paper:
  • Basic Black: 12″ x 5 1/2″ (base), 5 1/2″ x 2 18″ (for panels) For Base you will lay it on your cutter/trimmer portrait and place the edge along the 3/4″ line and cut from the 1″ to 5″, pick up cutter and cut from 7″ to 11″, repeat for other side. Then place on trimmer Landscape and you will SCORE only on the outside edge (between the cut and edge), score on 1″, 5″, 7″ & 11″. Keep in Landscape and score ALL THE WAY across on 2″, 4″ 8″ & 10″. You will fold them on the outside edges mountain, valley, mountain valley (this is the same on both sides working towards the middle) Do both top and bottom. Inside flap gets folded mountain, valley, valley, mountain.
  • Granny Apple Green: 3 7/8″ sq. (back panel), 8″ x 3 7/8″ for middle scene, 5/8″ x 7/8″ (x8) for bottom and top small edges, 4 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ (for gift card)
  • Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper: cut 4″ x 5 3/8″ (turn and cut @ 2″ in half so they will line up), 4″ x 5 3/8″ for front panels when card is closed. 5/8″ x 1 7/8″ for adding to the tip and bottom small panels. And 4 1/4″ x 2″ for envelope flap
  • Memories & More Cards & Envelopes: I used a gift card/Envelope for small Donkey card.
  • White: 4″ x 3″ inside the Gift card
  • Misc:
  • Open Range Dies
  • Many Messages Dies
  • Layering Circle Dies
  • Stitched Shapes Dies (for sentiment donkey is kicking)
  • Holiday Rhinestones
  • Liquid Glue
  • Paper Trimmer

As you already know if you follow me and my blog, all the supplies will be listed below, click on any of the pictures and you will be taken to my OnLine Store! For any purchase of $35 or more you will receive from me the class packet for the class I am detailing today, which will include all the cardstock, die cuts (not the sentiments since that is not allowed per SU!) but I can send you the one die cut for the sentiment that the donkey is kicking since that is stamped with the stamp set and not the Many Messages. Also, you will get the Rhinestones and I will pre cut/score for the main card and die cut the circle for the gift card! The one thing I can not do is stamp anything.

BUT the great thing is it’s Sale-a-Bration now and you can get MORE than you would normally! Spend $50 and you can pick out that CUTE Darling Donkey set for FREE! This is while supplies last, so don’t wait! Furthermore, you will get the 16 project ideas in a PDF that has step by step instructions and pictures….hint, my Home decor item is what I made!! So you will have the measurements for that too!

Thank you for all your support! I so appreciate you joining me on my Live classes and for those who can’t watch live I appreciate you watching it later!

If you are in need of a catalog, let me know and I will get one right out to you!

Love ya!

Who’s that Doggy in the Window!

Hey Guys,

To begin with, I saw a card on Pinterest that had this fold, which is called a Bay Window. But of course, I had to change it up, so I made one with dogs from Playful Pets that I call “Who’s the doggy in the window”!? By the way, the dog that looks like a Yorkie looks like my puppy and he is always looking out the window waiting for us to come home! By the way, I did a video showing how to make this card, you can catch it here. If you love animals, I have another card using this same set but with cats, you can see it here!

First off, this card is not the regular size that I make. But, it has too much in it to make it smaller. Because of this, I decided to keep it big, so the size is 5 3/4″ x 8 1/4″. Once you see it, you’ll agree with me that the size NEEDS to be big! 🙂

Technique called Bay Window: Who’s that Doggy in the window!?
Aren’t those the cutest doggies in the window!?

Of course, I had to find a sentiment that went with my best friend loving me, so I am using the Beauty Abounds stamp set from Stampin’ Up! Subsequently it says “A friend is someone who chooses you….out of a whole world of people” And who doesn’t love you more than a dog, so it’s perfect for a friend card!

As always, here are the specifics for this card:

Stamps:
Beauty Abounds

Inks:
Memento Black

Paper:
Real Red 5 3/4″ x 81/4″ (x2) ONE is scored at 1/2″, 3 1/2″ turn card and score again at 1/2″ and 3 1/2″ , 2 1/2″ sq (x 4)
Playful Pets Designer Series Paper (DSP) 2 7/8″ x 5 5/8″ (x2), 1 3/16″ x 5 5/8″, 4 1/8″ x 5 5/8″, 3 3/8″ x 5 5/8″
Black 3 1/8″ x 4 3/8″ , 1 1/8″ x 2 1/2″
Whisper White 2 1/4″ x 1 1/4″ (x2)

Misc:
Stitched Rectangle Dies
Layering Squares Dies
Playful Pets Trinkets
Dimensionals
Window Sheets 2 1/8″ sq. (x2)

Window Sheet Card

Hey Guys!

Today I am sharing with you a card that was inspired by a card online. You can find a video of my card here. I think the creator is french, and her name is Lezards de Cilou. Here is the card that influenced me:

She called it a Tripod card.

Having seen other cards made with Window Sheets as the front of the card, I wanted to have another go! If you would like to see an additional card I made using Window Sheets click here. Here is what I made today:

Sorry that the lights are reflecting off the Window Sheet!

And on the inside we have the sentiment that is hidden by the birds when it is closed:

This card is so pretty in person! The colors go so well together! I love how Stampin’ Up!’s product coordinates together. When I realized this 19 years ago, I knew that I wanted to get the discount and become a Demo! What I didn’t know is that I would STILL be doing it AND loving every part of it!

Here are the specifics for this card:

Stamps: Free as a Bird, Lovely You (Brand NEW!!)
Inks: Memento Black, Old Olive, Rococo Rose, Blends: Rococo Rose, Old Olive, Soft Suede
Paper:Very Vanilla 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored @ 4 1/4″, 1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, Whisper White 2″ x 4″ (for stamping birds, then fussy cut around, Old Olive 5 1/4″ x 4″, Window Sheet 5 1/2″ x 4 1/8″
Misc: 2020 – 2022 In Color Enamel Dots, MultiPurpose Liquid Glue, Stamping Sponges

When cutting the Ornate Flowers border, cut it on the edge of the cardstock so you can place the other edge against the Window Sheet. You will need to color the flowers by sponging over the center of the flowers using Rococo Rose, and the leaves with Old Olive, you will also want to sponge the edges of the cut out with the Old Olive, this will make it blend. To place this on the Window Sheet, use a Silicone Craft Sheet, place a puddle of Liquid Glue and pounce the sponge over the glue and holding the cut out still, pounce the back so you won’t see where you put the glue. This makes it so much prettier on the other side of the Window Sheet.

Hope you are doing well!
