Get double duty from your stamp sets

Get double duty from your stamp sets by using them for both card-making and scrap-booking!

Hey Guys!

First off, I am going to take you back to my childhood and hear my Mom’s words that Christmas shouldn’t have commercials until AFTER Thanksgiving! So, in that vein, should Halloween be shown now? Of course, I believe it should be since I am doing it! Generally, Halloween is my favorite Holiday to scrapbook so I thought I would make a card using the stamp sets I get EVERY year so I get double duty out of them. Here is what I made:

Get double duty from your stamp sets!

For some reason, Halloween is my Favorite time of year. Funny thing, I named a blog post that, check it out here! Is it because the air is cooler, or the candy? I say it is because it is so much fun to scrapbook, every year I have to do a NEW page! Since it would not be good to have the same layout in the same book. Well, I thought that my Halloween stamps would make a great card too! Of course my grand-kids love getting mail, so this is perfect! Besides, might as well get double duty from my stamp sets, right? By the way the stamp set I used is called Hallows Night Magic from Stampin’ Up!

As always, here is the specifics for this card:

  • Stamps: Hallows Night Magic Bundle
  • Inks: Pretty Peacock, Memento Black
  • Blends: Pretty Peacock, Granny Apple Green
  • Paper: Basic Black 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, Very Vanilla 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ (x2) 5″ x 3 3/4″, scrap, Black Glitter 5 1/4″ x 4″ (I cut out center so I can use it later), 4 1/2″ x 2 2/3″ (for behind label), Magic in This Night DSP 5″ x 3 3/4″, scrap for inside.

It’s a Mystery Fold!

Hey Guys!

I’m on a roll! I’ve done 4 videos in 4 weeks! You can go to my YouTube channel to see the other videos I’ve done. To see this cards video you can click here. Looking OnLine I saw this fold card from Etsy, she was charging to make that card, and I figured I would try to figure it out on my own. And I did! What is great is that it fits into one of Stampin’ Up!’s envelopes and I made it work! After I saw this on Etsy, I saw someone else from Europe do the same cut but their cards are bigger than the United States so I’m even more proud that I figured it out by myself! Here is my card:

This is the card open. Isn’t that dog stinkin’ cute!? Love that I got the fold idea from Etsy!

Magical Day Box Card

Hey Guys!

So glad you could join me for this awesome project I have for you today!

Funny that my nails match!!  Just got them done today!  This is the card in the closed position

Here it is Open, the next picture shows it from a higher angle so you can really see the ‘box’.

This was super fun!  I love the Magical Day Stamp set……I had used EVERY stamp in the set but the Magician,  and now I have used them ALL!  I colored with the Blends and also used the Magical Day Washi Tape!  This entire Suite is awesome!

I got this idea from Natalie Lapakko……..I’m a visual learner so seeing a video would have helped me learn, so I thought I could help you if you also learn by seeing!

This project takes a whole piece of 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock.  Score Horizontal @  2″, 3 3/4″, 7 1/4″ and 9″

Score Vertical @ 1 3/4″ and 6 3/4.

Follow along with the video to see where to snip and trim!  It was MUCH easier than I anticipated!

Below will be pictures of the items used to make this project.  Click on any picture to be taken to my OnLine Store!!  If you purchase from me, I will send you one of my handmade cards!

Thanks for stopping by!  If you are new to me, I have a YouTube Channel where I TRY to do a video every Tuesday!  I would love it if you would subscribe and be alerted when my next video posts!
