Tarnished Foil Technique

Hey Guys!

It’s been a while since I was last here!  Sorry, life got a bit busy.  I had my trip to Salt Lake City Utah for Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage event, and WOW I had so much fun! I met up with my SU! Besties and we room together every time!

I came home and 4 days later we went to Vero Beach for a much needed break!  It was so nice to sit and read on the beach!!  I was under the umbrella and the only thing that would have totally made it better was to have a Beach Boy bring me some drinks!  hahaha

Now I am home and I jumped right back in to my ‘work’.  I put the apostrophes there because I have so much fun creating it is sometimes hard to remember that I get PAID!  Love my job, if you want to join my team, just let me know!

On to the Tarnished Foil technique, thanks to my Besties Carol and Hetty for telling me all about it!  I HAD to come home and try my hand at it!

Here are the cards I did on my YouTube video:

Aren’t they stunning?!!  This is a fun and easy technique and no two are alike!  I Love stacking my ribbons, can you see it?  I ‘colored’ my gold edged ribbon with the Bronze Stampin’ Blends so it would go with my project and stacked it with the copper ribbon!  Go check out my video for all the dimensions.

I hope if you live in the States you choose me as your demonstrator!  IF you purchase from me, I will send you one of my cards that I use for my videos!  Shop Now!

As always, the items used for this post are listed below, each picture will link you to my OnLine Store!  I DO have some SAB items for a sneak peek, can’t list them below, but the one I used is called Happy Wishes, and I KNOW you will want it as much as I did!

I’m back to my ‘work’, I am making my Christmas cards, I’ll share those with you next time!!

Pop of Paradise

Today I am sharing with you a Clean and Simple card.  I have so much trouble keeping things simple, I always want to JAZZ them up.  But this one is jazzy without adding more.  At least I think so!  You’ll have to tell me!

I LOVE the copper embossing powder, and I added some Copper thread.  The dots are done in the Copper Powder, it’s hard to see that in this picture.  AND I have found that Banners for You works well with other stamp sets!!  I used the Happy Birthday from Birthday Banners.  Since it is Photopolymer you can bend the stamp to fit the banner!!

Below my name is a list of all the supplies to make this card, just click on any picture to be sent to my OnLine Store!  If you buy from my store I will send you a handmade card!

Until next time!

Another Easy but wow card straight from the Catalog!

The card I am sharing with you today is from the stamp set Hello Friend!  I shared this card with you last time:

I, once again, looked in the Catalog for Inspiration!  This is the image that struck me as something I wanted to try:

This is using the kit on page 16 & 17:  Hello Friend Heat Embossing Project Kit.  I don’t have the kit……….yet, but have the stamp set and wanted to give this a try.  I DID have the Gold mini sequins!  Those are just too stinkin’ cute!!  I was giggling when I got them!  It doesn’t take much (in the card making world) to make me happy!

I didn’t have the kit, but I loved the way the wreath looked on Crumb Cake, so I was using that.  I wanted a lighter green (than pictured) so I used Wild Wasabi as my green.  LOVE how the flowers are so white so I wanted to use Versamark and White Embossing Powder.  Here is what my card looks like:

Isn’t it pretty?  And not too many steps, sometimes simplicity is the best way to go!!

The sentiment is on Whisper White 1 3/4″ x 1 1/4″, then I used the Envelope Punch Board to round two opposite corners, to give a really pretty look!  I popped this up with dimensions after putting some adhesive on the card in the middle of the Wreath and laid down the Gold Mini sequin ribbon.  The ribbon is free to move on both ends, only the middle is stuck down.

The Gold Foil Paper is 5″ x 3 3/4″, but I cut around the inside edges to make a frame since you can’t see it and I didn’t want to waste any of it!!  The top Crumb cake is 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″.

Easy but definitely stunning!  In person, it’s even better!!

I have blog candy that I’m giving away too!  Here is what you can win:

To be in on the drawing on July 4th all you need to do is comment here on my blog, any post!  Or comment on my Facebook page, Instagram,  or Twitter!  I will put all the names into a Random Name Generator and I will announce the winner!  Who doesn’t want something free for just posting nice things?!!

Hello Friend! Stunning yet easy, Really!

I bought the new stamp set from Stampin’ Up! called Hello Friend because it looked like it would be a fun stamp set to use!  I was NOT disappointed!

I went out on Pinterest to see what others have done with this set, and you know what?  NOTHING was out there!  So, what is a girl to do?  I checked out the SU! catalog, that’s what I did!  And you know what, they had the BEST idea in there!  Here’s what they have:

This is using the Hello Friend Heat Embossing Project kit on page 17.  I loved it, but of course had to make it my own.   Plus, I don’t have the kit…….yet!  You really should go take a look, you will love how easy and beautiful this kit is!

Here is mine:

Isn’t it beautiful!!  And the idea came right out of the catalog!

Dimensions:

Flirty Flamingo 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
Black 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
Watercolor Paper 5″ x 3 3/4″

I used Aqua Painters and the re-inkers for Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach.

I will have the items I used below, just click on the picture and it will take you straight to my Online Store!

I also have Blog Candy!  The drawing is on July 4th!  You just need to comment on any of my social media posts!  Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or here on my blog, anywhere!  EVERY comment counts!

I LOVE Washi Tape!

I loved this card today, I hope you love it too!  When you can’t come up with an idea, just look in the catalog!  If you need a catalog, just let me know!  I would be happy to send you one!

Darling Baby Card! Kylie’s International Blog hop!

Once again I am TRYING to be in the top ten for Kylie’s International Blog Hop, will you help me??  I came close last time, but would really like to get there this time!   Can you tell that the dog is fluffy and two colors!?  Read on to see how it was done!

Please vote for me by going to Kylie’s blog hop page!  To vote, you will click on the heart in the right corner of the pictures, preferably mine!!  🙂

The theme this month is Baby.  My card isn’t traditional ‘baby’ but I think it would make a GREAT Birthday card for any baby, OR on the inside it could say that you are expecting!!  That you are HAVING a baby!!

Here’s my card:

Isn’t it cute!!??  Same as last month, I had a totally different card planned, but I didn’t think it mustered!  I came home from a stamp class today and sat right down and made this one!  I love how the dog has such puffy fur!  Want to know how I did that?

That’s Vellum that I stamped the dog on, using Soft Suede (then embossed with clear), I then turned it over onto one of our stamp mats, and using the stylus from the Score Board I press in circular motions (gently at first!!) on the places for the white fur, it makes the Vellum raise up and turn white!!  Cool Right!!?? I then cut ANOTHER dog out of Soft Suede (using the thinlit of course!) and popped up the Vellum, putting the mini dimensionals (YUM!) under the pom pom balls on his feet and front!!  You can’t see them, can you!?  That’s because the Vellum is so white that you can place them behind and it disappears!  I LOVE this technique!

Can you see the clouds in the sky?!  Those are made with Stampin’ Up!’s Embossing Paste and the masks!

The little girl AND the dog are stamped, but the fox is cut out of the Designer Series Paper!  LOVE, love, love this suite!

Here’s a close up of the puffy:

The ‘fixin’s’ for this card are listed below, click on any picture and you will be taken to my Online Store!  When you order from me, you will receive a handmade card, plus a little thank you gift!  Please use the Hostess code: C62FFAR3

I love stamping, and if you live near me I would love for you to come stamp with me!  I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I have!

I also have blog candy!!

You can get in on the drawing by posting comments here on this blog (any post! or multiple posts!) or on my Facebook page and I will put your name down each and every time you comment!  But be aware…..there are some that follow me that take that comment VERY seriously!  I’ve had her comment on each and every post that I make and she also comments on my Facebook page, Twitter AND my Instagram!  She’s one serious girl!  YOU know who you are, and I appreciate you very much!  🙂

The moral of the story is if you REALLY want to win my Blog Candy comment on everything!  I put the names into a Name Generator so I have NO say on who wins!

Black and Gold meet up with Eastern Elegance, all I can say is WOW!

I had a class yesterday and we made three cards, one of which I am going to share with you today!  I was inspired by Priscilla Ivler.  I LOVE getting ideas from others and tweaking it a bit!

Here is the card we made:

Isn’t it stunning?!!  It’s not a ‘hard’ card, you just have to work on getting the thinlit to let go of the paper without ripping it.  My Die Brush has seen better days and the bristles are falling out!  Yay!  We get a new one in the NEW catalog!!

Here is the inside:

Everyone at class loved it!  And in person it is even prettier than here!  I know it’s hard to believe!

This is going to be a quick post today, if you want the dimensions just let me know and I will send them to you!

Don’t forget about my blog candy!!

The drawing for this Blog Candy is June 6th!  Post here on my blog (on any post, as many as you want!) or on any of my social media posts TedderBearStamping on Facebook, Instagram as TedderBearStamping, or on my Twitter acct as TedderBearStamp!

See?  PLENTY of ways to win free goodies!!  I will be continuing with my blog candy until I feel like you don’t want free stamping supplies!  Think that will ever happen?  Nah!  I wouldn’t think so!

Star Wars handmade Birthday card, PLUS Blog Candy!

How does time get away from me?  I know!  It’s because I get to stamping in my stamp room and time just flies!

As I went to bed last night, I was thinking of what had to be done……….THIS is why it’s so hard to shut my brain off when I go to bed!  I thought I still had plenty of time to come up with a Star Wars birthday card for my Grandson, Isaac.  NOPE!!  I am in North Carolina, he’s in California and his  birthday is in 3 days!  NOT sure it will get there in time, but I’ve been talking and thinking about this card for a MONTH!  🙂  Does that count?

Here is what I came up with (thanks to Pinterest and Carrie Rhodes!):

I am NOT a big Star Wars Fan, so thank goodness for Pinterest!  🙂  Now, don’t get me wrong, I like Star Wars, I’m just not a HUGE fan!  I hope he likes it!  My daughter wants me to make one of each Character, I already made Yoda, so anyone have any pictures of anyone who might have  made the other characters?  I have ONE year to plan!  hahaha  Hope I make it on time!

Here is some of the pieces used to make it, some are retired, but all are from Stampin’ Up!,  (see below for all product) glad I held on to them!

Of course I trimmed all the circles away, BUT you might want to learn from me……..wait until the glue is DRY before doing that!  I had to start over!  Thankfully the mail hadn’t come by the time I finished!

Hope you enjoyed this post, and that you will come to my rescue and send me other Star War cards that I can copy!

If you live in the United States and don’t have a demonstrator I would LOVE to be yours!  Anyone who buys from me will get a handmade card in the mail thanking them for their purchase…..you never know it just might be one you see on my blog!  Also subscribe to my Newsletter and get some great stamping ideas!

Now, onto the Blog Candy!!  I am GIVING AWAY an Embossing Folder!  What do you have to do to be in the drawing to get it?  You just have to leave me a comment here on my blog, any post until May 15th.  I will put everyone in the drawing who comments here and on my Facebook page TedderBearStamping, That’s it!  No buying anything, just commenting!  You can comment as many times as you want on different posts and it will count!

Here is what you can be in the drawing for!:

Hope you enjoyed my post today!  Make sure and Subscribe to get notices when I post again!

Easy Way to Make a Vintage Card, Plus Blog Candy Winner

I saw on Pinterest a card using the rubber stamp set from Stampin’ Up! called In This World.  I had bought this set because I love anything Vintage and this called to me!

I changed it up so much that I went back to see hers and it was nothing like what mine turned out as!  Has that happened to you? You can find her YouTube video here  It’s very pretty, but not the way I went with mine.  I followed some of her ideas, but that’s as far as I got!

Here is my version:

What do you think?  It needed a ‘spot’ of color, so I added the ribbon and the Falling In Love Trinket.  This picture has the Burlap ribbon in it, going along the side.  I ran out (I’m making swaps for my Savannah OnStage event!!) so I just went without for the rest of the swaps.

Here is the other version:

I used VersaMark on the sides of BOTH swaps and added Gold Embossing Powder.  Plus added it to the Sentiment to make it stand out.

Here is a close-up of the treatment on the Soft Sky:

I used almost every Stamp in this set!  The only one I didn’t use is the chair.  And I LOVE the chair, so I will have to come up with something to use that the next time!

I used the stamp from the In This World that has the long strip of dimensions?  I have a question mark there because I’m not sure what to call it!  Do you know?  I stamped that image in Crumb Cake on the top left and bottom right. Then stamped again, along top and bottom left using Early Espresso ink.  I stamped the one on the right bottom once on a scrap and then on the page, so the key will show up.  That is stamped in Early Espresso too!  I then stamped the blotchy stamp (that’s what I call it!) from the Stamp set Gorgeous Grunge using the Crumb Cake all over the card, stamping off every other time.  I then sponged it with Crumb Cake on ALL sides, sponging really well so it went towards the center.  Then sponged SOFTLY using the Early Espresso ink.  Just to give it a dark outer edge.

I stamped the door on Very Vanilla (it doesn’t look like it does it!), that shows how much I sponged it!  I used Early Espresso for the Door, and Crumb Cake for the sponging.  But first I distressed the edges by ripping, bending and tearing , I tore off the corner.  You have to make sure you do the distressing first, and THEN sponge.  This way the edges that bend over are sponged on both sides.  My shoulders were HURTING by the end of this, and I only made 30 cards!  I usually make a LOT more, but I’m glad I didn’t this time!

Here is the inside:

I didn’t sponge the inside because I wanted it to stay pristine, so you can see what is written when sending it.  Would you be happy to get this card?  Or is it too messy?

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a Vintage card, have I forgotten how to do it?  I feel needy today for some reason!  It could be because I was winging it the whole time!  LOL

Here is the Blog Candy that I’m giving away today:

Congrat’s to the Winner:  Sue Root!!

I hope you enjoyed the project today!  Please let me know which one you like more, with or without the Burlap Ribbon.  Sometimes you look at something so long you just can’t be the judge!

Hope to see you again, soon!  Make sure you subscribe so you won’t miss when I post.

Making a Sunset

I LOVE sunsets, don’t you? I wanted to make one that was easy but still be stunning…….at least I think so, hopefully you do too!!

I have a video on YouTube walking you through this technique, I hope you check it out here. You can also shop for the products you see in this post and on my videos at my Online Store!

Making a Desert scene was my final one, I had to make FOUR cards with Sunsets! Just couldn’t help myself!

The first one is one I posted on my FaceBook page Let’s Stamp!

It features a lighthouse and this is where my Sunset journey started! I saw a video by Tina Zinck on making sunsets, so off I went!

This was so fun and easy (Thanks Tina!!) That I didn’t stop there! But first let me tell you what I used to make this card!

Stamps: High Tide #143006
Inks: Cherry Cobbler #126966, Watermelon Wonder #138323, Night of Navy #126970, Perfect Plum #126963, So Saffron #126957, Crushed Curry #131173, Crumb Cake #126975, Early Espresso #126974, Chocolate Chip #126979, Whisper White #101731, Momento Black #132708, Versamark #102283 and Sahara Sand #126976
Paper: Cherry Cobbler #119685 – 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, Whisper White #100730 – 4″ X 5 1/4″
Misc: Project Life Corner Rounder #135346, Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine #123125, 1″ circle punch #119868, Gold Embossing Powder #133457

Now, on to the next Sunset Card! This one uses the Lift Me Up Stamp set, but uses the same techniques as on my video.

I love how the Ocean/water came out on this one! This uses the same color palate as the card above. Here are the dimensions for the card stock, since everything else is the same:

Cherry Cobbler 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, Crushed Curry #131199 – 3 1/4″ X 4 3/4″, Cherry Cobbler- 3 1/8″ X 4 3/4″, Whisper White – 3″ X 4 3/4″ and 2″ X 1 1/2″ (for the sentiment).
I also used Dazzling Diamonds #133751, and Fine Tip Glue to make the Dazzling Diamonds stick #138309

What else can I make with this Sunset? I just HAD to make more!! So I pulled out my Trusty set of Lovely as a Tree!!! Love this set!
Again, I used the same colors, just used the Stamp set Sending Thoughts #142965 from the Occasions Catty 2017 and I also used the FREE with Sale-A-Bration ribbon Metallic Gold #143601!

Here are those dimensions:
Elegant Eggplant #105126 – 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, Whisper White 5 1/4″ X 4″
The Elegant Eggplant Ink # is 126969, Gold Embossing Powder #133457

And now for the Final Card, this is the one I made the video on!!

I had so much fun making this one!! Like I said at the Beginning, I LOVE sunsets, by this time you might just believe me! hahahaha

The supplies for this card are:

Stamps: Birthday Fiesta #141500, Thoughts and Prayers #127805, Here for You # 142164
Inks: Watermelon Wonder #138323, Night of Navy #126970, Crushed Curry #131173, Crumb Cake #126975, Early Espresso #126974, Chocolate Chip #126979, Momento Black #132708, Night of Navy #126970, Black Marker
Paper: Night of Navy #100867 – 5 1/2″ X 4 1/2″ , Watermelon Wonder #138334 – 5 1/4″ X 4″, Whisper White #100730 5″ X 3 3/4″
Misc: Sponges #141337, Big Shot #143263, Up & Away thinlits #142748

If you love these colors together, make sure and stock up on Watermelon Wonder!! It’s one of the In Colors that is retiring this year 🙁 This is a GREAT color to make your sunsets with! The other reds are either too red, or too dark. It’s doable, but this one just makes it easy!

I hope you enjoyed all my Sunsets, and that you will want to visit me again! I will be making more videos, I am really enjoying it! Make sure you sign up on my YouTube page to be notified when I have another one coming out!

Also!!! Click on my Newsletter button, you will receive monthly ideas and keep up to date with my schedule!
