Reverse Eclipse Card

Hey Guys!

Today I am showing you a simple card that can be used for any celebratory occasion!  I used the Stamparatus from Stampin’ Up! to have the image ” celebrate” repeat.  You just line up the stamp on the cardstock at the top, ink the stamp, close the Stamparatus, stamp and then move the Stamparatus down to the next slot, and the Stamp is positioned perfectly all down the cardstock.  You can watch a video here to see what exactly the Stamparatus is!

But to see the process I did, watch this video!   The Stamparatus will be available when the new catalog comes out!  Contact me if you need a new Catalog!!

Here is a pic of my card:

I am very proud of this simple card!  If you know me, or watch my Youtube Channel you kind of know that I love cards that are a little more detailed and use a technique of some kind.  So, when I make a card that is easy to do, but still lets me have fun and do a technique, I am in HEAVEN!

The measurements for this card are:

Pool Party: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, plus scraps for the ‘YOU’
Basic Black: 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ (x2 for the inside too), 3 1/4″ x 2  for the label
Whisper White: 3 3/4″ x 5″ (x2 for the inside too), 2 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ for the label with the ‘YOU’ cut out.

For the Black label under the white label I cut it down on both top and bottom so it lines up with the white on top and bottom.  I used the Lots of Labels Dies 4th and 5th from the outside.

Below, you will see all the supplies I used for this card.  If you click on any image you will be taken to my OnLine Store!  If you purchase from me, I will send you one of my handmade cards!

Stunning card made with FREE stamp set-Heartfelt Blooms

Hey Guys!

The card today is one I came up with all by myself!  That happens rarely and I get so tickled when I make something that I didn’t get any help from Pinterest or any other places!  It popped into my head and it came out even better than I thought it would!!

Not only is this stamp set Gorgeous, but did you know that Stampin’ Up! has a patent pending on HOW they made it?!!  When you look at the actual stamp before inking it up, it looks absolutely FLAT!  How in the World did they get a completely flat stamp to have so much dimension!?  NOT sure what/how they did it but I love it!

I’ve seen pictures of people who have stamped it and used different colors to differentiate the flowers,  here is one I took while at On Stage Live in Salt Lake City:

Isn’t that So pretty!!!?  The hint they gave to us was to stamp it with a light color so you could follow it.  If you give it a try I would love to see it!  I tried, but it didn’t come out.  That is why mine is one color!  Hahahaha   I’m still trying to figure out how to work the blends and have perfect shading………

So for my card above, I used Rich Razzleberry Cardstock, black and Gold Glimmer paper!  I added ribbon to the back by putting Tear & Tape around the edges (after I stamped it and cut it with the Stitched Framelits) and then I pleated the Black 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon over the tape.  I then used the Foam Adhesive Strips to make it stand up higher.

I added some Fine Tip Glue to put some Gold Glitter on the smaller flowers.  I also used the Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon and colored it with the Razzleberry Blend so it would go with the card!  Love that!

I stamped the sentiment in the Basic Black and then immediately clear Embossed it so it would give texture and it just makes the Sentiment look so elegant, don’t you think?

Here are the Dimensions of the paper:

Rich Razzleberry: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, 4″ x 5 1/4″ (x2) one for the inside,
3 5/8″ x 3 3/4″
Basic Black 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ (x2) one for the inside
Gold Glimmer paper 3 7/8″ x 4″
Whisper White 2 3/4″ sq (to fit the square stitched framelit)

I hope this helps!!

Technique Tuesday-Faux Embroidery using Painted Harvest

Want to receive this card?  Check out below how you can be in a drawing to get this beautiful card mailed to you!

Today I am sharing with you a new Technique that I kind of stumbled on!!  I’m using the NEW stamp set:  Painted Harvest #144783 which will be in the Holiday Catalog coming out in September!  You can see the video on YouTube, I have some great tips and it’s a VERY simple Z fold card!

Here is a picture of the front of the card:

Isn’t it GORGEOUS!?  I was just playing around and was astounded at how great this came out!  This is one of those times when I am sitting at my stamp table (by myself) and I start to talk and say how beautiful it is!  LOL   No-One is there, mind you……..even after 16 years of stamping I STILL get excited that I can make something this pretty!

Here it is open:

Doesn’t Berry Burst work great with this card?   And here is a close-up of the front flower that looks like embroidery:

I popped up this whole piece using the Foam Adhesive Strips since they pop up more than Dimensionals.  The video I made shows a different leaf than the one shown here, and I like it better.  I show you how to mask the flower and put the leaves behind it.  I also show you how to do the ribbon behind this image.  If you go see it, leave me a message and let me know what you think.

IF you leave me a message I will have a drawing in 2 weeks on the 28th for one of you to win this card!  Leave a message either here on my blog or on the video on Youtube.

ALL the dimensions are on the video, so if you want to recreate this go check it out!

All the supplies are listed below, click on any picture to be sent to my On-Line Store!  If you purchase from me I will be sending you a handmade card as a Thank You!

This is a SNEAK PEEK so hope you enjoyed this card as much as I do!  Keep an eye out for MORE Technique Tuesday videos!  Techniques are my favorite.  Anything that will let me use my stamp supplies more are a win win in my book!

Until next time!

Sneak Peek of Stampin’ Up! NEW stamps!

Today I am sharing a NEW stamp set due out in June from SU!, called Colorful Seasons!  I also used the Seasonal Layers Thinlits with it!

Here is what I made:

I want to be sitting in that chair drinking some tea and watching the water go by!  Don’t you?   To make this card look like it was in a frame, I made my own frame out of Soft Sky cardstock from Stampin’ Up!

I also used the stamp set Lovely as a Tree to give the scene some dimension!  I had this card in my head since Friday and I just HAD to try and see if I could get it to come out of my head onto card stock and look just as pretty!  I think I did, what do you think?

Here is a closeup of the flowers in the tree:

I cut out the stamped images using the Thinlit and then with the Berry Blast inked flower I added some of SU!’s Fine Tip Glue so it would make it look puffy and shiny!  Love these new Colors! For the light pink I used the NEW In Color Powder Pink!

Here is a side view of the card so you can see how I made it look framed:

All of the flowers and the branches come off the framed Soft Sky piece of card stock!  I DID add pieces of the Foam Adhesive Strips onto the back of not only the Soft Sky but also each flower, so they wouldn’t get squished down with mailing.  I wanted more space than what the Dimensionals would give me so that’s why I used it.

That adirondack (spelling?) chair is so stinkin’ cute!  Right?  Do you see the glass of ‘tea’ I have sitting there?

Here’s the inside of the card:

I hope to have more ideas for you in the near future, so be sure and subscribe to my blog to not miss out!

I’ve got some NEW Blog Candy to give away!!

It’s the Happy Heart Embossing Folder by SU!   I absolutely love embossing folders, hope you do too!  I will be holding the drawing on May 15th!  How do you get this for FREE!?  You either place a comment here (no limit to how many times) on my blog, or on my Facebook Page (no limit there either!),  That’s it!  How else can you get a Stamp set for FREE!?

Hope you enjoyed my post today and my Sneak Peek!!
