A new way to Color!

Hey Guys!

Today I am sharing with you a New (to me) way to color, I have really never liked to color using Markers, it always seemed too…….much. I love to color straight onto my stamp sets using markers, but not to actually color an image once stamped. Stampin’ Blends are my go-to for coloring because they are easy. Moreover, they let you shadow really well, the only problem with Blends is when you use Embossing Powder on your project. For some reason they get muddy when they touch the embossed part. Even though I try to NOT touch the embossed part, inevitably I always do. Here is my card so you can see why I had problems with Blends.

Colored with Markers

As you can see, this is a pretty busy stamp, It’s called Ornate Style, the embossed parts are close together. Now, I could have stamped and not embossed, but I love the way the embossing is shiny and really lets the image stand out. Furthermore, I never thought of blending with markers! So, I used two different colors to make it look like it did when I used Blends. It came out MUCH better than I thought it would, in fact I love it! Now I will have to do this more often! I then sponged the white cardstock with Crumb Cake and then the edges were sponged with Early Espresso.

Also, I used other items from the Suite in the upcoming 2020-2021 Annual Catalog from Stampin’ Up! The dies I used are called Ornate Layers and the other stamp set is called Ornate Thanks & I am in love! Doesn’t everyone like playing with new goodies?! The great thing about this Suite is that you can get it now, (some of the dies are on backorder) and it will be good until the end of the Upcoming catty and possible longer! For those of you who like getting the discount when you order bundles, I will honor the bundle price and give you 10% off your dies when you can order them. Since it will be around a long time, there will be lots of time to create projects using it! Plus, there are a TON of project ideas on Pinterest, you will be kept busy for sure!!

As usual, here are the specifics for this card:

Ornate Style

Sea of Texture see through card

Hey Guys!,

The card I am sharing with you today is another CASE’d card from Pinterest by Karen Farquhar.  Here is her card:

I made my inside a bit different, and didn’t add the coral die cut to the front.  When doing a class, I need to cut down on what I use since it will make the class too long otherwise.

Here is my card:

Puzzle Card

Hey Guys!

I was on the fence a long time before I decided to get the Love You To Pieces stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  I really love it, the sentiments are too cute!

Here is my card:

I used Designer Series paper for the main picture, you can’t beat the Petal Promenade Paper!

Here are the specifics  for this card:

PROJECT 1: Puzzle
Stamp Sets Pg #
Love you to pieces Bundle
Well Said
Paper
Rich Razzleberry 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, 3 1/2″ sq, 3 5/8″ sq
White 3 1/2″ sq, scraps 2 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
Petal Promenade 3 1/2″ sq
Flirty Flamingo 5 1/4″ x 4″ (x2)
Inks
Rich Razzleberry
Accessories
Big Shot, Clear EP, Heat Tool
Tear n Tape
Polka Dot Tulle ribbon
Rich Razzleberry Velvet ribbon
Tombo Multi Purpose glue
Dimensionals

I recommend putting the DSP onto a piece that’s the same size of thick Whisper White.  This helps it not be so fragile when you run it through the Big Shot with the Puzzle Die.  Then turn it over, put Tear N Tape on the back to help hold it together, but skip the one piece you want to be missing.

Below are the supplies that I used to make this card, click on any picture and you will be taken to my OnLine Store!  I would LOVE to be your SU! Demo if you live in the U.S.!  For every OnLine order I send you a small gift as a token of my appreciation! You can pick this card if you would like it!  If I still have it in my possession I will send it to you!  Just let me know which card you want.

Thanks for stopping by!

Vellum, Roses and Silver Oh My!

Hey Guys!

Here is another beautiful yet simple card!

This card is inspired by one I saw on Pinterest by Kristine McNickle.  I LOVE Basic Gray and Grapefruit Grove  together!  It is a great pairing, don’t you think?  See that cut out at the bottom? When the card is closed you can see the Grapefruit Grove peeking through.  It is a pretty design element.  The square floral paper is Designer Series Paper!  Such a pretty and easy way to bring elegance to a card.  I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed with White Embossing powder.

The Beautiful Promenade stamp set, has a thinlit that goes with it called Beautiful Layers.  This is where I got the feature at the base of the card.  You can get 10% off the Bundle when you purchase both the stamp set and the thinlits.  My next post will have another thinlit from this set, so check back in!!

Christmas Card #15 Farmhouse Christmas

Hey Guys!

This card was made after looking at two different cards using this set on Pinterest by two different people.  I loved the idea of having snow in the backyard and the truck in the front, plus using the die as a mailbox.  I added the ‘door’ on the mailbox, which made me so tickled with myself!  LOL

I uses a LOT of blends, which are listed below.  If you would like the dimensions and particulars for this card here they are:

Supplies
Stamp sets:
Farmhouse Christmas Bundle, Merry Christmas to all
Cardstock: Poppy Parade 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scraps for bows, Basic Black 5 3/8” x 4 1/8”, Whisper White 5 ¼” x 4 (x2),
5 ¼” x 2 ¾” (trimmed for snow), 1 ¾” x 4 ½”, 5 ¼” x 4 for stamping house, tree, truck, Wood Textures DSP 3” x 1 ½”
Inks: Memento Black, Versamark, Balmy Blue, Old Olive, Poppy Parade, Blends: Poppy Parade combo, Light Mango Melody, Old Olive combo, Soft Suede combo, Black Lt, Smoky Slate combo
Misc: White EP, Embossing Buddy, Dimensionals, Foam Adhesive strips, Fine tip Glue pen, Big Shot, Wink of Stella

This card is layered, the snow in the back only go on the bottom half of card, and if you look the fence is popped away from the base of the card.

I hope you like this card as much as I do!  We made this in my Christmas card class at the beginning of October!  Everyone loved making it, and I look forward to my other classes.

If you click on any of the pictures below (supplies used for this card), you will be taken to my OnLine Store! I would love to be your Demonstrator if you live in the US!
