Show-Off Frog

Hey Guys!

I have always loved frogs.  As a Child I had an Aunt who made a HUGE deal everytime I tried showing her a frog in my hand……I would say “Guess what I have” she would not be able to guess so I opened my hands and there was a frog.  She would run away and act scared!  No matter how many times I would ask her she NEVER could guess what was in my hands!  LOL  Looking back of COURSE she knew what was in there, she was the BEST Aunt and I have VERY fond memories of her!

Here is my card:

So, when I saw this So Hoppy Together stamp set by Stampin’ Up! it brought back these fun memories and this was first on my list to get for free!  Free?!  What?!  Yes, for the first three months every year SU! has a Sale a Bration catalog that you can earn FREE stamps! But, time is almost out, you can only get this stamp set while supplies last or the end of March.  Go check out Pinterest and see how many ideas you can get using this set!

Christmas Card #15 Black and White Farmhouse Christmas

Hey Guys!

I love when I design a card and it turns out great!  I get so worried when I am designing on my own, I ‘think’ it turns out good, but have to ask everyone I know what they think, just to be sure!

Here is the card:

I love how this looks like a photo with a tree on the side. I used the Colorful Seasons Die to get the scalloped edge, I cut both the white and the Silver Glimmer to go behind it.  In person, this is really pretty and shiny!  Basic Gray is on the inside to offset the Silver, it is a great look!  I love how stamping the house and tree in the ‘picture’ is an easy way to use this stamp set, and just cut out the tree and your card is just about ready!

Here are the specifics for this card:

Supplies:

Stamp set: Farmhouse Christmas, Star of Light, Winter Woods
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White 4” x 11”, Whisper White 3 ½” x 3 ¾”, 3” x 3 ½”, 3 ¼” x 3” (for black and white house),
Silver Glimmer 3 3/8” x 3 3/16”, 4” x1 ½”, Basic Gray 4” x 5 3/8”
Inks: Basic Gray, Shaded Spruce, Memento Black
Misc: Big Shot, Seasonal Layers thinlits, Dimensionals, Metallic Pearls, sponges, Wink of Stella

This is one of my favorites that I designed! I hope you like it too!!

Below are pictures of the supplies used for this card, click on any picture and you will be taken to my OnLine Store! I would love to be your Demonstrator if you live in the US.

Painted Glass with Rose Glimmer Paper

Hey Guys,

This card is the Epitome of a Girly Card!!  I used the Petal Promenade Designer Paper, with the die from the Painted Glass bundle.  The butterfly is from the same stamp set!  I used a Fresh Fig ink pad with an aqua painter and the Petal Pink for the middle to color the butterfy.  Then I covered the whole thing with Wink of Stella!  This card is so much fun!

The base is Fresh Fig, next layer is Petal Pink, then black and finally the Designer Paper.  The banner is Petal pink edged with the Rose Glimmer!  HAD to add the sparkle!!

This is a very simple card, just pop out the die, stamp the sentiment and the butterfly.  Color the butterfly and layer  all the cardstock and you are done!  BUT, it is so pretty!!  You would think it took much longer.

I was inspired by Rene Daley, you can see her card here.

Thanks for stopping by!!  I appreciate you!

Rainbows and Unicorns!

Hey Guys!

Today I have a really fun and super cute card!  I LOVE rainbows, but who doesn’t?  I also love Unicorns!  So I put them together!  I got this idea from Kirsten Aitchenson on Pinterest.  I gave the card some black to make the image pop, but otherwise it’s all her.  Isn’t it cute?

The Rainbow took a few minutes to cut out each color, but honestly? It didn’t take as long as I thought it would.  I LOVE this card!!

TIP!!:  Cut a small piece of white cardstock that you will use to mount your rainbow on.  The dimensions are 2 3/4″ x 1″.  Place adhesive on your white piece, and start your outer colors going down almost to the bottom of the white.  This will hold your rainbow together AND let you pop it off the card with dimensionals. Your white will be covered up by the cloud!

The sparkle paper is from the Myths and Magic 6″ x 6″ glimmer paper.

Here are the dimensions for this card:

Island Indigo: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, plus scrap for rainbow
Basic Black: 5 1/2″ x 3 5/8″, 5 1/4″ x 4″ for inside
Soft Sky: 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Whisper White: 5″ x 3 3/4″ inside and scrap for Unicorn
Scraps for Rainbow: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Island Indigo, Perfect Plum

I colored the Rhinestones to go with the rainbow and also colored the Mane and Tail using the Blends.

I used Wink of Stella for the Unicorn.

Hope you like this as much as I do!!  Please visit my YouTube Channel to see my other creations and see how I make them.
