Doesn’t everyone love a Sunflower? We always had some growing, but it was very hard to keep the squirrels from jumping on them and knocking them over.

Eiffel Tower all lit up!

Hey Guys!

Today I am sharing with you a light up card! I love these! They are so much fun! Next year, I am planning on going to see the Eiffel Tower (thank God it’s not THIS year!). I saw this card where someone made a bridge with water under it, and the Tower is in the background. I am not sure that they used Stampin’ Up! stamps, so decided to make one using Parisian Beauty. Here is my card lit up:

Not only did I use the Parisian Beauty stamp set, but I used the punch Label Me Fancy! This is what I used to make the bridge. I tried so hard to make them evenly spaced, this is as close as I could get. Also, I used Wink of Stella to highlight the water to give it that bit of sparkle!! If you lay the Smoky Slate piece of cardstock onto a grid sheet or against a ruler, make marks at these spots: 5/8″, 2″ and 3 5/16, then put the punch into these spots and only go part way up (look at picture to see how far) making the marks in the middle of the punch. This way it will make your waterway!

In the light of sharing with you the lit up version, I HAD to show you the card (a little more professional pic) when it’s NOT lit up:

Of course, I used a lot of bling by using Champagne Rhinestones, because you are not always going to have it turned on! The tree came from the die Sweet Silhouettes. Sponging the So Saffron cardstock after it was die-cut with Soft Suede and Garden Green, really makes this ‘tree’ look like the sun is hitting it in spots! Make sure you leave some yellow to give it that sun kissed look!

Furthermore, I also sponged the Eiffel Tower with Soft Suede and then ran the Memento Black pad itself over parts of the sides. This was to make it look like it was antiqued. What do you think? Did I hit it, or is it a miss? For those of you who love light up cards, we are going to be making this card next week! Let me know if you want to attend!

As always, here are the specifics for this card:

Stamps:
Parisian Beauty

Inks:
Soft Suede
Garden Green
Balmy Blue
Memento Black

Paper:
Basic Black 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scraps
Whisper White 5 1/4″ x 4″, scraps
Whisper White Thick 5 1/4″ x 4″
So Saffron scraps (to fit tree)
Crumb Cake to fit Tower
Balmy Blue 4 ” x 1/2″ (for water)
Smoky Slate 5/8″ x 4″

Misc:
1 1/8″ & 1 3/8″ circle punches
Sweet Silhouettes Dies
Champagne Rhinestones
Stone 3d Folder
Foam Adhesive Strips
Tombo Liquid Glue
Batteries/Lights
Label Me Fancy punch

Mi Amour! Paris meets Poppies

Hey Guys!
Today I am sharing with you another card from the Occasions Catalog by Stampin’ Up! I LOVE the stamp sets Painted Poppies and Parisian Beauty. So, putting them together is a No Brainer for me! I got the stem from the stamp set Daisy Lane because I wanted the flower to have one. Surprisingly, I got the DSP from the Sale-A-Bration catalog the Golden Honey Specialty DSP. It’s cool because the inside of the card shows the other side.

Don’t you love that you can see the Wink of Stella on the flower?!

Here is a pic of the inside:

I used the Honey Bee Stamp set to bring in the DSP that you can see on the inside (not shown here)

For both the inside and front I used a strip of Gold Foil to set the ‘line’ where the DSP starts. I love black and white cards with a punch of color, don’t you? Also, I added the Champagne Rhinestones to the front to give it some added sparkle. Gotta have sparkle!

Here is the specifics for this card:

Stamps:
Honey Bee, Painted Poppies, Daisy Lane

Inks:
Memento Black
Blends: Calypso Coral, Old Olive

Cardstock:
Basic Black 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″, scrap for ‘Amour’
Whisper White 6 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ scored at 4″ on long side
Golden Honey DSP 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″
Gold Foil 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ (x2)

Misc:
Champagne Rhinestones
Parisian Dies
Wink of Stella
Paper snips for cutting out flower/stem
Dimensionals

I hope you like this card as much as I do! Usually, I don’t come up with my own designs, but since there aren’t many samples out there, I had to this time! Please let me know what you think!

If you are looking for a Demonstrator and live in the US, let me know what I can do to help you in your creative process! I can mail you out a catalog if you need one, and if you purchase from my Online Store I will send you a handmade card, a small thank you gift and 30 +/- tutorials that change every month!

Sneak Peek: Parisian Beauty Bundle

Hey Guys!

It’s been a while, but I figured for my New Year’s Resolution I would TRY to post more! Here on my Blog, Pinterest and Instagram. Look at me! Here it is a DAY early! LOL Today I thought I would start by posting one of my FAVORITE stamp sets that Stampin’ Up! has brought to us in the NEW Occasions Catalog! The name of this set is Parisian Beauty which you probably already know since that is what I named this post.

And, don’t you love cards that you can interact with? This one, once it’s open can stay open and let the person you give it to enjoy it more. I used the Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP for the front AND the inside. This Specialty paper has places that are embossed with Champagne, which makes this sooooo pretty to look at! When you add the Dies to the paper, you can’t make a mistake! If you look close, you can see that I used Champagne Rhinestones on the Tower, Champagne Foil behind the main images and it’s what I used for the Amour! I popped up the Amour so it would hold up the front of the card. Well, do you like it? Anything I should add or take away?

Here are the specifics to this card:

Stamps:
Parisian Beauty #151466 OR the Bundle #153778

Inks:
Cherry Cobbler

Cardstock:
Cherry Cobbler 4 1/4″ x 11 (scored @ 5 1/2″ & 8 1/4″, 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ (for back of front piece), 5 1/4″ x 4″ (under the front DSP), 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ ( for under inside DSP), scrap for piece cut out of Stitched Rectangle Die (3rd from smallest of longer rectangles), and scrap for Eiffel Tower.
Champagne Foil 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ for front piece, 5 1/4″ x 4″ for inside, scrap for Amour and Swirl cut out.
Parisian Blossom DSP 5 1/8″ x 3 /8″ (for front), 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ (for inside
Whisper White small scrap for front sentiment

Misc:
Champagne Rhinestones #151193
Dimensionals #104430
Holiday Rhinestones #150457

I would like to do a video for this card but what do you think? Too easy and doesn’t need one or you’d like to see it from start to finish!? I KNOW that there will be plenty more cards to come from this set, PLUS my hubby is taking me to Europe for my 60th birthday! That’s in a year and a half! This set will come in handy for scrapbooking my adventure!

Hope you enjoyed this post, please check out my youtube channel and subscribe so I will know if you want to see more from me!

Hope you had a Great Christmas and here’s to a Happy New Year!
