Rooted in Nature beach scene

Hey Guys!

I love my Job!  I get to make beautiful handmade cards AND show others how to do it! After my classes everyone is so happy with what they have made!

I got this idea from Cindy Elam, I found it on Pinterest and changed up a little, here is her card:

I LOVE layers, I wanted to add to this beautiful card.  Here is what I came up with:

Here are the specifics for this card:

PROJECT 3: Watercolor trees

Tea Together No Line Stamping

Hey Guys!

Today I am sharing with you a card I made in remembrance of my Mom.  All the women/girls in the family would meet up and have tea at a very upscale tea room!  This was our tradition.  When I saw the stamp set from Stampin’ Up! Tea Together I HAD to get it!  I saw online a LOT of cards featuring this set and the No Line technique. It was so pretty I decided to try it out myself!

Here is my take:

I made a video that you can see here.  This was a lot of fun once I got past the worry about doing it right!  I had to remind myself that it is just PAPER!  LOL

I used the Designer Series Paper All My Love to be a ‘table’ for my tea set.  Flirty Flamingo was used for the left  tea set, Mint Macaron for the right.  I felt as if I was an artist, and I really love how it came out!

After making these cards I wanted a Home Decor item that I can forever remember my Mom and all the good times we had.

The framed art I saw was by Sara Levin, here is her framed piece:

I only had an 8″ x 8″ frame so I made mine a little bigger.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and will come back again!

If you are living in the US and are in search of a SU! Demo I would love to work with you!  Below are pictures of what was used to make these projects, click on any picture below and you will be taken to my OnLine Store!

Painting with Brusho!

Hey Guys!

Today is Tuesday so that means I have a new video to offer you!!   I wanted to show how easy it is to paint with Brusho.  Brusho gives you such a vibrant color and I am now asking myself why haven’t I done this before!?

Here is the card I made:

Another great thing is that I can make my own colors!  Just mix the yellow with the blue and get a nice green…..add more of one than the other and the hue changes!  I can’t wait to see what colors I can make!

Here are the dimensions to this card:

Dapper Denim 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, 3 3/4″ x 5″
Whisper White 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
Gold Glimmer Paper 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″
Watercolor paper 3″ x 4″

I hope that this card encourages you to  try the Brusho!

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you continue to touch base with me!  I enjoy making handmade cards and I hope that I inspire you to do the same!

Hello Friend! Stunning yet easy, Really!

I bought the new stamp set from Stampin’ Up! called Hello Friend because it looked like it would be a fun stamp set to use!  I was NOT disappointed!

I went out on Pinterest to see what others have done with this set, and you know what?  NOTHING was out there!  So, what is a girl to do?  I checked out the SU! catalog, that’s what I did!  And you know what, they had the BEST idea in there!  Here’s what they have:

This is using the Hello Friend Heat Embossing Project kit on page 17.  I loved it, but of course had to make it my own.   Plus, I don’t have the kit…….yet!  You really should go take a look, you will love how easy and beautiful this kit is!

Here is mine:

Isn’t it beautiful!!  And the idea came right out of the catalog!

Dimensions:

Flirty Flamingo 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
Black 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
Watercolor Paper 5″ x 3 3/4″

I used Aqua Painters and the re-inkers for Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach.

I will have the items I used below, just click on the picture and it will take you straight to my Online Store!
